Close the lid and take 3 whistles on high flame. Open the lid, when steam comes out automatically.

Now, mash the boiled vegetables using a masher or with the ladle. Keep it aside.

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a kadai. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to it. Now add crushed garlic and 2 finely chopped onions to it.

Sauté it until the onion becomes translucent. Then add tomato to it. Cook it until the tomato becomes mushy.

Now, add red chili powder, turmeric powder, pav bhaji masala and kasuri methi to it. Adjust the spices according to your taste.

Mix it well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Cut the pav horizontally and open it. Apply softened butter to it and sprinkle pav-bhaji masala on it.

Heat the pan and transfer the pav to it. Roast them from both sides.
