Methi Bhaji Recipe | Maharashtrian Methi Chi Bhaji

Methi chi bhaji or methi sabji very easy and healthy vegetable. We can make methi chi bhaji in several ways. I made a dry methi sabji with onion and tomato for this recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bunch Methi sabji [medium-sized]
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 Onion [large]
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 Tomato [medium]
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 3 tablespoon Oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Firstly, pulk the methi leaves and wash them under running water in a large strainer.
  • Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a kadhai, add cumin and mustard seeds to it. Once cumin and mustard seeds start crackling, add finely chopped onion, chopped garlic cloves and salt to taste in it. Mix it well.
  • Let it cook until the onion turns golden.
  • Now add chopped tomato to it. Mix it well and let it cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
  • Add 1 & ½ teaspoon of red chili powder to it. mix it and cook for a minute. You can replace red chili powder with chopped green chilies.
  • Add washed methi leaves to it and mix it. Cover it and cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
  • After 10 minutes mix it. Turn off the flame. Serve methi sabji with chapati or bhakri.
