Ingredients for Besan Sev:
Oil 1 cup
Turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon
Besan 4 cups
Oil for frying
Carom seeds powder 1 teaspoon
Salt
How to make Besan Shev:
1. Add 1 cup water and 1 cup oil to a wide bowl. Mix it with a hand blender until it becomes foamy and white. You can also mix it with a palm.
2. Now, add 1 teaspoon of carom seeds powder, ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder and salt to it.
3. Add gram flour in small parts and prepare a dough by mixing it.
4. Heat the oil in a pan for frying the sev.
5. Now, grease the sev mold with oil and add the shev dough to it.
6. Drop the sev in hot oil by pressing the mold slowly.
7. Fry it from both sides by flipping it slowly.
8. Prepare sev from all the dough as above. And store it in an air-tight container.
Tips for making perfect sev:
1. Always store shev in an air-tight containers.
2. Use fresh and finely powdered gram flour for making sev.
3. While dropping sev in the oil, flame should not be very low.
4. Keep the flame medium while frying sev.
