Gajar ka halwa | carrot halwa | gajrela is a popular Indian sweet dish. It is nothing but a carrot dessert. In this recipe of carrot halwa, I have not used milk to get the complete carrot taste and tempting color.

Use organic carrots to make carrot halwa, it tastes good. We need grated carrots for halwa. To make this Indian carrot pudding, roast the grated carrot in ghee, then add sugar and a lot of dry fruits. This is a perfect Indian dessert or sweet dish, which completes the meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Grated carrot
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 ½ cup Sugar
  • 8 almonds
  • 8 cashews
  • 1 tablespoons raisins

Instructions
 

  • Firstly peel and grate the carrots. Use organic carrots to make tasty gajar ka halwa.
  • Heat the kadhai, add ghee to it. Also, add grated carrots. Roast them for 8-10 minutes on low flame by stirring occasionally.
  • Now add sugar and dry fruits to it mix well. Let it cook until sugar melts. Once the sugar melts it starts releasing water. Mix it continuously on low flame, until the water gets absorbed.
  • Turn of the flame and serve gajar ka halwa.

Notes

Don’t overcook halwa after adding sugar, it makes halwa hard.

How To Make Gajar Ka Halwa

  1. Firstly peel and grate the carrots. Use organic carrots to make tasty gajar ka halwa.
