Spicy puffed rice or spicy murmura chivda is a simple Indian snack recipe. It is made up of puffed rice, spices and peanuts. Puffed rice chivda is a low-calorie snack, which is a very good option for mid-morning or evening temptation.
Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Add 2 tablespoons of peanuts and 1&1/2 tablespoons of split gram dal to it. Roast it until it becomes crunchy.
Now add 4-5 cashew pieces to it and roast it for a minute.
Then add curry leaves to it and saute it for a couple of minutes.
Now add 3 cups of puffed rice or murmura to it. Also, add 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder to it. You can also add chivda masala to it.
Mix it well by adding a little salt to it. And roast it for 2-3 minutes.
Now, add half a cup of nylon sev to it. And combine well.
Turn off the flame and enjoy the spicy puffed rice chivda recipe. Store it in an airtight container.
