Cauliflower masala curry | Gobi masala is a simple and delicious north Maharashtrian curry recipe. It can be prepared in minutes for a quick meal with rice and roti. Here I made a simple curry with chopped onion and tomato. To achieve a restaurant-style creamy flavor in the dish, we can ground the onion and tomato into a smooth paste. Adding curd to the dish makes it more creamy and delicious.

Gobi Masala Curry
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 6-7 curry leaves
- 1 teaspoon garlic [crushed]
- 1 onion
- 1 tomato
- 2 teaspoons red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon magic masala
- 1 teaspoon kasuri methi
- 2 tablespoons curd
- 2 cups cauliflower [cleaned and chopped]
- salt to taste
- handful coriander leaves
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds and curry leaves to it.
- Once cumin and mustard seeds start crackling, add 1 teaspoon of crushed garlic and finely chopped onion to it.
- Saute it until the onion becomes translucent. Then add chopped tomato to it.
- Mix it well and cook until the tomato becomes mushy. Then add 2 teaspoons of red chili powder, 1 teaspoon of garam masala, 1 teaspoon of magic masala and 1 teaspoon of crushed kasuri methi to it.
- Mix it well. And saute it for a couple of minutes on low flame.
- Then add 2 tablespoons of thick and fresh curd to it.
- Combine it well. Then add chopped cauliflower to it. To clean the cauliflower properly boil it in water for a couple of minutes before using.
- Add 2 cups of water and salt to it and cook it by covering it with a lid for 8-10 minutes or until the cauliflower becomes soft.
- Finally add chopped coriander leaves and mix it well.
- Turn off the flame. And, serve hot cauliflower curry with soft roti and rice.
How To Make Gobi Masala Curry At Home:
