Dahi puri is a famous Mumbai street-style chaat recipe. It is a quick, easy and very tasty snack recipe. Dahi puri is made by stuffing onion, boiled potato, chaat chutneys, sweet curd and sev into the puri. For Dahi puri, we use deep puris, which can be prepared at home or we can bring ready-to-use puris for chaat recipes. I am using store-bought ready-to-fry puris.
Dahi puri is a quick snack for street food cravings, which we can make easily at home. Dahi puri should be served immediately after preparing. If we prepare dahi puri prior then puris becomes soft because of chutneys and curd. So keep the ingredients ready and prepare them just before serving.

Dahi Puri Recipe
Ingredients
- 14 flat puris
- 1 cup thick curd [sweetened]
- 1 potato [boiled]
- 1 onion [finely chopped]
- 1 tomato [finely chopped]
- 2-3 tablespoons green chutney [Mint & chili chutney]
- 1/2 cup nylon şev

Instructions
- Peel and cut the boiled potato into medium-sized pieces. Also, chop the onion and tomato finely. Keep it aside.
- Now, take a serving plate and arrange the puris in it according to the size of the plate. I am using ready-to-fry puris here. Gently make a hole on the top surface of each puri using your thumb.
- Add 2-3 pieces of boiled potato in each puri.
- Now, add finely chopped onion pieces to each puri.
- Add green spicy chutney after onion. To make green chutney, grind green chilies, coriander and mint leaves together by adding a little water.
- Then add around 1/2 tablespoon of sweet curd to each puri. Curd use in dahi puri should be thick. Also, add sugar to it and mix it properly before making dahi puri.
- Add a little nylon sev in each puri. Again add 1/2 tablespoon of sweet curd to each puri.
- Lastly add ample nylon sev on it. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve homemade dahi puri.
