Paneer paratha is an Indian flatbread recipe. Prepared by rolling the spicy paneer stuffing inside the wheat flour dough. Paneer paratha can be served for lunch or dinner, we can even have it for brunch. Paneer paratha tastes delicious while served with a fresh sweet curd. Paneer paratha
Ingredients
For stuffing:
- 100 grams paneer
- 2 teaspoons red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon kasuri methi
- salt to taste
For dough:
- 2-3 cups wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons oil
For Paneer Paratha:
- 3-4 tablespoons ghee or butter
Instructions
Stuffing for paneer paratha:
- Take a bowl, grate or crumble the panneer in it. For rolling uniform paratha effortlessly, crumble the paneer properly.
- Add 2 teaspoons of red chilli powder, 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of crushed kasuri methi and salt to it. You can add different combinations of spices according to your choice for stuffing.
- Combine all the spices properly by mashing them slightly with the help of fingers. Keep it aside.
Preparing the dough for paneer paratha: :
- Take 2-3 cups of wheat flour to a wide bowl. Add salt and a spoonful of oil to it. Add water in small parts and combine the ingredients slowly. Make a dough and rest it for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, again add a spoonful of oil to it and knead it again for a minute. Then divide it into medium-sized parts.
Making Paneer Paratha:
- Take a dough ball. Dust it with dry flour and roll it into a small circle to stuff it with paneer mixture.
- Take a stuffing bowl and add a spoonful of stuffing on a rolled dough ball.
- Now start pleating all the edges and join them properly as shown below. Press the dough ball filled with stuffing gently.
- Dust it with dry flour and start rolling the paneer paratha uniformly.
- Then, heat the pan. And, transfer the rolled paratha to the pan. roast it on medium flame from one side.
- Now, flip and roast the paneer paratha from both sides by applying ghee or butter.
- Serve easy homemade paneer paratha with sweet curd or green chutney.
