Til gul ladoo or til ke laddu or sesame laddu is an Indian sweet. Til gud laddoos are commonly made in winter, as til and gud have nutrients and are good to add in our diet. It is a famous sweet made during an Indian festival known as Makar Sankranti, which is also known as Pongal in some regions.
Making til gul ladoo without jaggery syrup is very easy. We have to dry roast til and peanuts first, then grind it with jaggery and give it a round shape. If you want to make this laddu without jaggery or sugar syrup, then use chikki gud for this recipe. It has a good binding, which helps in shaping laddoos easily.
There are two ways to make sesame laddo. One is without making sugar or jaggery syrup, which is shared in this post. And another way to make til ke laddu is by making jaggery syrup, and adding roasted til to it.

Til Gul Ladoo Without Jaggery Syrup
Ingredients
- 1 cup til [sesame seeds]
- ¼ cup peanuts
- 1&¼ cup gud [jaggery]
- 4 tablespoons ghee
Instructions
- Heat a pan. And dry roast 1 cup of sesame seeds [til] on medium-low flame.
- Once they turn light brown and start crackling. transfer them into a plate and let them cool completely. Roasting til takes around 5-7 minutes.
- In the same pan, add 1/4 th cup of peanuts and dry roast them until small brown spots appear on them. Let them cool completely.
- Now, add roasted peanuts and 1&1/4th cup of grated jaggery in a grinder jar. The quantity of jaggery will be the same as the total quantity of til and peanuts. Always use chikki gud for this recipe.
- Grind it for a minute. Then add roasted til to the ground peanut and gud.
- Run the grinder on pulse mode 3-4 times. Now, add 4 large tablespoons of ghee to it and again grind it on pulse mode 2-3 times.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Grease your hand with ghee and mix it by mashing it slightly.
- Now, take a spoonful of mixture on your palm and give it a round, shape. Make all til gud laddu in the same way.
- If your mixture is not taking a round shape easily, then add a little ghee and gud for binding. Using chikki gud for this recipe helps to bind the til gud laddu easily.
How To Make Til Gud Laddu Without Jaggery Syrup:
