Rava dosa is a simple and quick breakfast recipe. It is crispy and delicious, that is prepared with rava (semolina) and rice flour mixture combined with green chilies. This instant rava dosa has a thin and crispy texture.
It is a quick dosa option, which can be prepared in minutes without fermentation. Traditional rice dosa batter takes more time, as we soak dal and rice then ground them, and ferment it overnight. This rava dosa is very easy and instant dosa, to serve in breakfast without any prior preparation of batter.

Rava Dosa Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rava [semolina]
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon curd
- 5-6 garlic cloves
- 2 green chilies
- coriander leaves
- salt to taste
- oil
Instructions
- Take half a cup of rava, half a cup of rice flour and 1/4 th cup of all-purpose flour in a bowl.
- Add 1 tablespoon of curd and 2 cups of water to it. Rest it for around 20 minutes.
- Now, add 1 teaspoon of crushed garlic cloves, 2 finely chopped green chilies and coriander leaves to it. Also, add salt to taste.
- Mix it well. The consistency of the batter should be pourable and watery like dosa batter. Add half a cup of water if required.
- Heat a pan. Grease it with oil and pour a ladle full of batter on it. While pouring the batter on the pan, start with the edges and then add in the center.
- Add a few drops of oil to it and cook it on medium flame. Once the rava dosa edges start to leave the pan, flip it. And roast it from both sides.
- Make all the rava dosas as above and serve hot crispy rava dosa with coconut chutney.
