Murmura Chivda | Spicy Puffed Rice Recipe
Ingredients
- 2-3 tablespoons oil
- 1 &1/2 tablespoon split gram dal
- 2 tablespoons peanuts
- 4-5 cashews
- 6-7 curry leaves
- 3 cups puffed rice or murmura
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- salt to taste
- half cup nylon sev
Instructions
- Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Add 2 tablespoons of peanuts and 1&1/2 tablespoons of split gram dal to it. Roast it until it becomes crunchy.
- Now add 4-5 cashew pieces to it and roast it for a minute.
- Then add curry leaves to it and saute it for a couple of minutes.
- Now add 3 cups of puffed rice or murmura to it. Also, add 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder to it. You can also add chivda masala to it.
- Mix it well by adding a little salt to it. And roast it for 2-3 minutes.
- Now, add half a cup of nylon sev to it. And combine well.
- Turn off the flame and enjoy the spicy puffed rice chivda recipe. Store it in an airtight container.
